The May Beacon Report offers the most recent numbers on median prices, days on market, and the current inventory of homes for sale in Bend and Central Oregon. Bottom line? Inventory remains low, demand high, and prices are up.
BEACON REPORT FOR MAY: MARKET NEWS FOR BEND REAL ESTATE
The median price for a home in the Bend area was $651,000, up from $590,000 in March, an increase of over 10%. The average price per square foot up $33, from $292 to $325, an increase of over 11%. From April 2020 to April 2021, Bend home prices have risen nearly 40%.
The average number days a Bend home spends on the market held steady at 4 for April.

REDMOND: HOME SALES UPDATE
Median price for Redmond area homes was $413,000, up slightly from $412,000, with the average price per square foot increasing from $240 to $243. Days homes spent on the market remained steady at 4 days.
SUNRIVER: HOUSING MARKET STATS
Homes spent an average of 5 days on the market in Sunriver, with a median home sales price of $906,000. Current inventory of available homes continues to be very low.
SISTERS: HOUSING MARKET UPDATE
The average home for sale in Sisters, Oregon spent 4 days on the market in April, with a median sales price of $434,000, up from $428,000. As with the rest of Central Oregon, available inventory of homes is low.
